The Body: A Truth Telling Machine
The Fundamentals of Change (Part 2)
Throughout my rebuilding journey over the last 12 years, I’ve realized a few things along the way…
One of the most important pieces to developing yourself at the highest level is the attention you give to your home base for this lifetime. No, I don’t mean your outer environment (even though that’s important and they’re connected), I’m talking about your body.
Yes, the flesh and blood vessel that you are relegated to for the foreseeable future.
One of my favorite quotes is this:
The healthy person wants 1,000 things, but the sick person only wants 1 thing.
Meaning that fundamentally, your body is the primary key that allows you to effectively be or not be the creating machine that you are capable of.
SO! That is why I’m using this post to address the importance of taking care of your health.
Your body is a channel and it’s where you live in this lifetime. It’s a delicate ecosystem that, when out of balance, hinders you massively from capitalizing on your creative abilities and effecting change in the world outside of you.
I love to use the channel analogy…
Think of a radio station, If you’re out of tune or too far from the signal, the music doesn’t come in very clearly. It’s filled with static and distortion or worse, a completely different station that you really don’t want to hear.
The same goes for the channel that is your body. In order to truly hear the intuitive God Self that resides within all of us, it is very useful to have a clear channel so that you can not only hear the signal coming through, but have the energy and wherewithal to take action on that inner knowing.
There are many strategies and ways to go about this and I’m sure you’ve probably heard most if not all of them in one form or another (mostly fad diets, magic bullet pills/supplements and please buy my shit courses), but what you may not have heard is that IT’S NOT COMPLICATED to get healthy.
Does it take changing some of your habits? Of course.
Can it be challenging to break those habits? Yes, but how challenging depends on how bad you want a great life and how fed up you are with where you’re at. It’s a mindset reframe more than anything. (More on that in other posts).
The good news is that the fundamentals to getting healthy are simple and easy. They also put the power back in your hands and allow you to experiment and practice listening to that inner guidance system which will help you carry over that practice into other areas of your life.
Ok, so here’s the most simple strategy to getting physically healthy that I’ve found… (Click the Tweet thread below)
I lost 30 lbs in 3 months (and got shredded)
- No cardio
- No cutting carbs
- No cutting out alcohol (completely)Here's how I did it...

The only other thing I would add to the above tweet thread is SLEEP. Sleep is imperative to this process. Find your appropriate amount of sleep and fine tune it to your particular body.
Some people need 8 hours of sleep and others need 6-7 hours. It really varies on the person.
For me I’m still working on perfecting my sleep, but I tend towards 6-6.5 hours per night for about 3-4 nights in a row in which I usually need a solid 8 hour night after that cycle. I let me body decide by-enlarge. If I feel like I need more sleep I usually take it.
If I wake up after 6 hours of sleep and feel energized, I get up and try not to force it.
Same goes with the physical health stuff I outlined in the tweet thread above.
FINE TUNE this to your lifestyle and body. Some people will need a little more or less food. Some people will want to do strenuous cardio instead of walking 10k steps per day etc. Some won’t want to strength train. THAT’S FINE.
This is about getting yourself to where you feel the most optimal and comfortable with your body and state of being on a day to day basis.
The reason I speak about and coach on these topics is to give you a baseline to start from so you can then play with and fine tune it based on your own unique imprint as a human being.
The point is to help you find this imprint as quickly and effectively as possible. That’s literally the fundamental reason as to why I’m doing any of this at all.
I get to express my uniqueness and passionate inclinations while going deeper into myself and simultaneously helping you do a similar deep dive so that you can live a life that is fulfilling and authentic to WHO YOU ARE.
We’re essentially helping one another become and discover MORE OF WHO WE ARE. So thank you for helping me become more of my ME-NESS.
Ok, I don’t want to make this too long winded. One of the fundamental messages I’ve been receiving from the ol’ intuition lately is regarding distillation. To make the information and methods that I’m conveying as clear, simple and concise as possible.
After all, the majority of the benefit of any system or methodology generally comes from about 10-20% of the foundational practices.
So there you have it! Please free to reach out to me in the Twitter DM’s or reply to this email with questions/comments.
As always I leave you with gratitude,
Cole
